How to Matter on the Internet

For those businesses that don’t believe they need a website, let me first drop my bottom jaw in amazement. We live in a mobile-device-connected-to-the-internet world. That doesn’t make any sense, but I’m not saying I’m right all the time either.

With the internet comprising of nothing but websites, why wouldn’t you own your business website matter? I’m on the side it matters a lot.

What I’m really hearing is that your digital brand doesn’t matter.

I get you may not want one as a business owner. There are lots of issues. Let me name a few:

  • websites can be expensive
  • website designers are hard to come by
  • understanding the backend of sites are not the easiest to learn, especially if the site crashes
  • sites could be hacked
  • it takes too much time to developed and maintain

Those are all great concerns. When I ran my nonprofit and was told to get a website, the sticker price blew my mind. I thought I was about to have a heart attack. Unfortunately, the reality was I wasn’t ready to move forward due to the funds.

Build Your Website

Nowadays, there are alternatives. You have lots of options.

There are plenty of places to build a website. You don’t have to use our company, so don’t feel my goal is to sell you on our website build services. I encourage you to do what’s best for your company.

At the end of the day, I had to learn a critical lesson.

You’re website is the foundation of your marketing.

No matter what, have something. Don’t ever let someone hold a simple solution over you–that’s supersolvable–hold you hostage to acquire new customers, or outsmart you! Ultimately, we live in a digital world and customers are always looking online. Use your digital brand to sustain your momentum/success.
