Nathan Webster, Executive Director
January 8, 2016
I’m very grateful to be recognized by Comcast Newsmakers. This was my first interview with them. I was fortunate to have two broadcasts. For this interview, I was just getting started. It was a defining moment for me and Dream Big, because it was my first media recognition and exposure.
I was so scared! The questions weren’t difficult, but I was figuring things out as we went. Our success hit us so fast, at times I felt as if I was scrambling. So many takeaways, but most of all I realized people really do care about the work I’m doing.
No one ever told me this directly throughout my career, but you have to believe in yourself, your product, and your company/organization. It may sound cliche-ish, but it’s really a simple truth that can be lost in all the busy-work. You mustn’t expect others to believe or carry more than you (the founder). As they titled it “Nathan Webster, Executive Director” made it real’er than ever before- but it always was, this was just an affirmation.
I write this because my business is personal because this service is for the advancement of all humanity. My failures and successes are for your gain. No strings attached.
