My Extreme Weight Loss
As you already know, I’m training to run the Portland Marathon in 2016. By 2018, my goal is to quality for the Boston Marathon. In order to do so, I feel that I need to lose over 100 pounds in a year’s time in to be successful. This goal wasn’t baked up overnight. I’ve been living this dream all my life.
There has been three times in my life that I’ve had drastic extreme weight loss. Although, none of them occurred with the help of my high school friend now celebrity Chris Powell’s show Extreme Weight Loss. All three were by accident from decisions I made throughout life. Some good, some bad. But only three times yielded an extreme weight loss.
This time will be different. My extreme weight loss will be self-initiated from the personal desires of having a better life. I love being active and competitive. The thought of having that taken away from the lack of discipline frightens me.
For anyone that is overweight, join me in choosing to live a healthier life. Choose the lifestyle because you want to live healthier, not for a superficial reason. In this journey, understand the losing weight is the simple task. The greater task at hand is to fight off the inner demons telling you to eat or you can’t lose the weight. We all have our own weaknesses. But find that ‘Why’ to make it worth it and you’ll have the best extreme weight loss breakout you’ll ever have, because you made the changes from within.
When I was in extreme pain while walking to the finish line, I knew my weight loss and training was lacking. There was no magic wand to remove the weight because I signed up to do a marathon. Moving forward, I have to put in the work, stay dedicated and use my ‘Why’ to stay focused on my goals.
